Tax Heaven 2024

It's the same game as Tax Heaven 3000, but for tax year 2024. The game doesn't upload your data to some secret server or anything, but like if you really care just put in dummy numbers/data for your SSN/Name/Address/whatever else you want to keep private, and just put in the accurate numbers for the tax calculation stuff same for uploading your W-2 and other forms.

USE THE IRS'S free filing options. If your taxes are easy enough for this game made by an art collective (I assume they had CPA help) and a junior in college I'm willing to bet that you qualify.

There's also this website. It has an excel sheet you can use to calculate your taxes, with way more schedules, forms, and all that good stuff, if you think you're up for it.

About: Me/This Project

I'm Andrew Aung (at time of writing) a junior at Texas A&M who's studying accounting to become a CPA. In one of my classes, my professor (shoutout to Dr. Shafron) showed us this visual novel (or rather the NPR about it) and I was like "that doesn't look too hard, I could probably do that!" (it was harder than I thought, but I could in fact do it) and here we are now.

Also forgive the bad photoshop job, I'm not that good with photoshop and I didn't want to buy a photoshop license for a personal project so I used gimp (a tool I am much worse with).

Disclaimer Linux:

I don't know if the Linux version works, I saw that I could create a build, but its entirely possible it doesn't work (probably relating to generating the pdf). If it doesn't I'm sorry I'm not good enough at python to create a fix if that's a problem.
